Get the x1.7 instead. It's gives you a sharper image than the x2 and is pretty close. ALSO instead of losing 2 stops of light (like with the x2) you only lose 1.5 stops.

Thanks for the tip, I'm looking on bhvideo and what a price difference from USA and Imported model! The USA version is $399 and the Imported is $309. I'm tempted just to get the Imported, there really isn't that much to these that could go wrong? BTW thanks for the tip!

I have a 2x and this thing is just a heavy chunk of glass I would save the $90 bucks and get the import on something like this.

The 1.7x is 8.8 oz and the 2x is 11.6oz, for it's size this things has some weight to it IMHO
