Night time photography shoot shot to heck

12 years 3 months ago #192833 by Todd Knight
I drove nearly an hour into the country this evening to get some night time photos and guess what? I left my tripod home! :pinch:

Tried taking some shots and called it quits and met a friend for a couple beers. :beerbang:

I've done worse, and don't wish to elaborate....:P

Why so serious?

Did you try using a higher ISO??? :woohoo:

I once mailed out a big promotion soliciting PC maintenance. It was the culmination of several weeks work and the postage on all of these hand mailed packages was well over $100.00... The very next day the response was tremendous!

I had placed my address in the to: area and the customers address in the return slot. Pride really does goeth before a fall - kerplunk!

I've done similar, although I remembered to bring the tripod, just not the quick release plate required to attach the camera to it. :)

The beers sound good  . I have an inexpensive tripod (not good for regular use) but it can stay in my car. If it gets broken or stolen, I'm out $25. Obviously, I have learned a lesson. :P

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

My re-occurring theme seems to be taking the card out of the camera and putting it in the computer to upload, then forgetting to put it back in the camera, only to find out when I find something to shoot and see "No Card". I've done that too many times that I care to admit. I need to start carrying a spare card in the glove box! :)

Nope, always have the tripod. Me? I always leave home with just one battery and it's nearly completely drained! This has happened a couple times.

A friend off mine told me the photographer they had when they got married in the 70's realized at the reception that there was no film in the camera. .this would require more than 1 beer ..

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.
