Technical vs Artistic

I'm an engineering student and I find I'm more interested in the technical and technilogical aspects of photographic science and engineering more than the actual taking of photographs. I'd like to combine my engineering and my photography but I have no idea where to go with it. Can someone give me some advice on this. I'm free to attend schools in pretty much any part of the country.

Are you talking in terms of developing/engineering cameras? Engineering/programming post processing?

Wasn't Ken Rockwell a photography engineer? You could start a photography website and give 1/2 good information, 1/2 bad and let the world work it out.

:agree: with Scotty- what are you more interested in as far as development is concerned ? maybe Stanford or MIT has what you are looking for .
