Bought two packs of Enloop batteries from costco a couple of years ago...still using them, no complaints here.

1. Don't mix Ni-Cad with Ni-Mh batteries and/or alkaline.

2. Make sure output voltage is the same, if so, you can mix and match different brands but one brand may be exhausted before the others because of a different mAh (milli-Amp-hour) rating.

Eneloops are the best out there. The whites will hold a charge for a year in storage and the new blacks will hold a charge for 3 years. If you do choose to get them get their charger with them, off brand chargers will kill their life cycle by improperly charging them, unless it is an upper end trickle charger.
