Does Adorama or B&H offer financing?

Do either of these companies have financing available on camera gear?

Very nice to meet you!

I know Adorama does, on orders over $250. There is a "Bill Me Later" button at Checkout that looks like 3rd-party financing. I've never used it.

If you open a Paypal account (free), they have a Bill Me Later option for anything over $99, where you can pay off your purchase over 6 months at no interest. If you don't pay it off, they charge at (high) credit card rates. I've used it when I bought anew PC, and I found it excellent.

Yes they do. Beware of "Bill me later", make sure you understand the terms. If you are going to finance something, make absolutely sure you can pay it off in six months. After that, you are back charged interest on the total sale, NOT the remaining balance..... :(

You might be much better off going to the bank for a loan. They have a lot of money to loan at present..... ;)

Why so serious?

Good luck in trying to get them to loan it for someone to buy a camera. And, what about collateral? Your oldest child...?

Some of the larger retailers do a good job with incentives like this to get you spending money with them. Happy to see this!

I do not know about happiness with this. More like vexation for some, with a gear addiction.

The big question is, how ever the best rates AFTER the 6 month starting period.

Are these just credit lines or actual credit cards? News to me, I always just use my Capital One card with them.

Yes, we do - through Flex Shopper; go to any web page and look for the icon on the right hand side: FlexShopper Lease to own

Just for fun, I looked up the FlexShopper terms, then the price of a Nikon D750 + 24-120 f/4 lens + hotshoe-mounted mic. $2700.

FlexShopper Lease to Own: only $107 per week.

OMG that's $5564 over the one year lease term. Or an APR of roughly 106%.

Lesson: if you can't afford to pay for it now, you can't afford it.

I'd make sure to read the Terms and all the 'fine print'. I saw recently that BillMeLater was part of a suit (class action suit I think) and they were court ordered I think to pay back millions to customers who were misled into using it. I believe the company was also fined in the millions for using misleading practices.
