How much gear you bringing when you go on travel?

How much gear are you guys bringing with you when you are traveling domestically vs internationally? I'm noticing my insurance doesn't cover internationally, so my upcoming trip I'm thinking about cutting down what all I'm bringing.

I wouldn't change a thing going to Seattle or Australia or China.. My insurance does cover me anywhere on the planet. That's what I pay for..... B)

Why so serious?

I do it less by location and more by method of travel. Will I have a car? I'll bring more stuff. Am I backpacking? Bare bones gear. Backpacking is my prefered method of travel, but when all you've got is a backpack (and sometimes a separate shoulder bag) you have to pick and choose what you bring. When I was going through Europe I only had clothing for 3 days because that's all that would fit in my backpack so tons of camera gear was totally out of the question.

I carry what I can in a sling or back back . That's it. Well, minus a tripod

Clearly depends on where I'm going. These days I'm all about light weight when traveling or on workshops I attend. One camera body and two lenses max.

It depend upon the Which location you travel and Where to go. Travel is also important part of the photography. It depend upon Where to take place projection.

On our last trip to London I brought just one body and 24-70mm lens. That's it. Well extra batteries and memory card and charger. That's it. I enjoy traveling light these days.

Well, if it's a workshop then I bring most my stuff, if I'm traveling with my family then I'm bringing just the bare minimum with me.
