Mirrorless cameras should have better batteries

Oh that guy was not at all biased. He made it sound as if Dslrs were total pieces of junk, stating that the whole mirror/shutter assembly was a majorly complex, and error prone way of getting an image. He makes the manufacturers sound as if they merely kept it that way out of laziness. Also he incorrectly says it is because of the mounts flange being the reason for certain aspects, when in reality it is because of the optics themselves, the flange has diddly to do with the placement of the components, sensor, or mirror wise. The only aspect that is affected would be the bodies mount from the rest of it. It was a funny read to me.
But you are correct in that the whole electronic VF is going to kill off your power faster. That is one of the problems with using so many electronic in the process, it all takes juice. Randy to tell you the truth I would get two extra batteries as backups. I do that now with my standard mechanical digital camera, which I find handy especially in the winter temps when having to swap out from cold drainage. Until they find the next miracle power storage source that lasts longer you are SOL.
