There's not much ice in Iceland. You might consider New Zealand?

Me, I'd only go south if I could hit Patagonia in the same trip.

But yeah, Iceland looks quite interesting.

Iceland with a close second to Antarctica

Iceland is green and Greenland is ice. Iceland will give you all subjects. Antarctica is more limited in subjects but what's there is spectacular unless there is a storm. A friend of mine was on the ship that got stranded down there a few years ago and they had to be rescued by the military. The two choices you named are really not close to being the same. Decide which place contains the subjects you are more interested in.

I'll disagree with you on that one.  Plenty of photo ops down there.  First off: migration of penguins in Antarctica.  Second: huge ice burgs.  Third: Seals and birds

You can disagree if you want, but there is way more subject matter to choose from in Iceland. You named basically two things. Wildlife and icebergs/snowy landscapes. That's why I said the OP needs to decide where their interest lies. Iceland will give you scenic, wildlife, people and color. I did say Antarctica was spectacular and it is, but it is also limited. My friend has been to both and his images are outstanding from both places, but the Iceland images are way more varied in subject matter.

For me the decision would have to be Iceland.  I have always wanted to travel to Iceland, Norway and Finland.
