Hey guys, we have a Christmas parade to attend this week and I was wondering what are the best camera settings to use for getting the best colors from holiday lights?

Take a shot, check LCD and histogram....adjust and reshoot. This is digital, no?

I don't do many Christmas light's. But this is the way if I were going to do it. I would also use manual exposure and work on that subject. Every time I stopped at a new one, I'd redo the exposure as needed. After the first one, you have a starting point. To get a starting point, I meter through the camera with the ISO I need and Aper. I want. Then go to manual and change the Shutter speed until I get a view I like.
