Max shutter count you would consider?

I'm thinking about buying a used 5D Mark III, it has 32k on it.  What is the highest shutter count you would consider on a used camera like this?

Depends on the price.  Looking past price, I want to find something that is under 15k.  These cameras are supposed to be good up to something like 250k shutter counts

Canon 5D Mark II | Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM | Canon 35L | Sigma 85 1.4 | Helios 44M-6 58mm(M42) | Zeiss 50mm 1.4 (C/Y) | Canon 135L | (2) 430EX II

That's likely moderate use, but the exterior condition will tell you a lot about where it's been Certainly not enough actuations to be concerned about, but if you are, price out the customer for a replacement. That can go into your consideration of the sales price.

:agree:  These cameras are good till something like 250,000 photos, so that camera is just broken in

What's the price?

I would take any shutter count as long as I have in the budget a new hutter. I purchased a camera with 12k count from a reputable deader and still had shutter problems within 12 months.

It is a very good camera. You should not be warry for a FF camera with the shutter less then 50k.
Of course, the price is also important: if is too much, you should consider to buy a new one.

Just looking at the exterior of the body will tell you a lot about how it has been treated. My D300 probably has around that many, but the body looks like it should have 400K on it. I also like to talk to people, and see why they are getting rid of it.

For me, it would depend on the cost.  If it's a killer deal, I'd consider more shutter clicks.

Canon 5d Mark II • Canon 24-105mm F/4.0 • Canon 135mm F/2.0 • Canon 50mm F/1.8 • Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 • Canon 580ex ii
