You won't believe what I just did!

That SUCKS!   My biggest card is a 32gb and even that is scary to have so many images on one card.  Something that can easily be missed placed.  I hope they find your card!

Bummer!  Good luck with getting the card back.  Are you sure you left it there?  Did you check your pant pockets?  Some times when I'm in a rush, I'll place something in my pocket with out even thinking.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Like Mr. Hassner I also use smaller capacity cards. The reason is twofold, one I could lose the card, second the card could crap out, and become unreadable. Not that I have had the second occur often, but it can happen.

That's just plain shitty.  Hopefully it turns up somewhere.

I would say that is a understatement!  But then again, as mentioned, i would be checking pockets.

I would be surprised that it didn't turn up in the hotels lost and found.  A number of years ago, my wife had accidentally left a small decorative pin in the hotel we were staying in.  That showed up in their lost and found.  And that was no bigger than a dime.

I'd send the hotel a photo of what your memory card looked like and see if it turned up.

Camera left behind and memory card left behind are completely two different animals.  Memory card could very well gotten sucked up by vacuum.  Those maids are cleaning those rooms fast and very well might have not noticed the small plastic thing the vacuum sucked up.
