Are there any such things as a photography boot camp? A week or 2 of hard core photography training? Hands on sort of class?

There are numerous "boot camps" (actually line in workshops on almost every subject, from wildlife to weddings (another form of wildlife?).
Here's on in Iowa www.garyolsen.com/goclarke/digitalphotography/index.htm
I would search for them using "workshop" instead of "boot camps" since that brings lots of fitness camps to the top.

These folks also run various workshops.

Here's one in SF:

Also check out the PSA affiliated clubs. They often have lots of contacts in the area. .

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Good links. I've never been, but I have a friend who attended one of Tim Grey's workshops, I think it was in the Alabama Hills, eastern Sierras. He says he had the best week of his life , and learned quite a lot.....

Why so serious?

This has me thinking. Pretty good information. Now I just need to figure out the finances and how much these courses would cost me. I've been thinking about doing a class or something.
