The Phantom 4 has been out now for nearly a year, shouldn't they be releasing the Phantom 5 soon?

Any solid rumors on release date?

Late 2017 or early 2018 is what rumors are saying

Can't wait to see what tech they cram into the new one.  Phantom 4 was a huge jump forward in drone tech.

I wouldn't be surprised to see much more FAA regulations built into it.

Good to see they are investing heavily into the safety side of these.   I hope, this industry doesn't see many more incidents from the few who are stupid, that create problems for the rest of us.

The problem with getting retractable landing gear is the cost would go up big time.  Would be cool, but no realistic IMO.

Honestly, i hope they do something with the design of it.  It's ugly IMO.  Now the Mavic is hot.  Hopefully their designers follow the lines of that one.

Well the Phantom 4 came out in March of 2016, and the Phantom 3 was April 2015, so I would bet spring 2018
