I don't suppose any of you remember a couple years ago, Ansel Adams camera going up for sale was the talk.  Expected to sell for upwards of $100,000.  www.outdoorphotographer.com/ansel-adams-arca-swiss-view-camera/

So did it sell and what dollar amount did they get for it?

The only thing I can say for certain...I didn't buy it.

Why so serious?

Because it's not the camera that does the work.

:agree:  that would have to a be a very special buyer for that camera.

A lot of green considering the camera will likely spend it's time in a glass box.

Would be cool to have, but for $100,000 I would have to pass.   Even if I had the money, I would pass, I could buy a lot of gear that would get far much more use.

With all respect, spending $100,000 on that is just meaning you have WAY, WAY to much money.  I bet Mr Adams himself would think that as well.
