Check out the monster green splotch! I don't know how much detail the resized version will show but you can actually see the spiked wrought iron gate from outside the church inverted in the splotch. Sigma 50mm @ 1.8 ISO 800

I was in a hurry to change rolls of film in the arena during an intense bench clearing brawl when I pushed my thumb through the shutter curtain on my Nikon N90s. So needless to say I had to replace the shutter block at quite a cost in time and money.

This picture is a shot of my inlaws cat. I wanted to get a close up of the face, as it's shown. I shot the photo without thinking of adjusting the flash. As it turns out, a mistake came out to be a good picture. I actually like it. I know the focus is not on the cat's eyes, but overall I like it, mainly because it was a mistake, but one to keep. :)

The late painter Bob Ross, called those "happy mistakes".

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

One of my all time favorite shots was a result of a "incorrect" setting. For some reason I had my camera set on spot metering, which I never use, but it meant that I got great results. (For the curious it's the shot in my random album of a work-worn hand holding a cigarette)
