What footwear do most wedding photographers wear?

Straight forward question this morning.  What's on your feet when you are shooting weddings?

When shooting anything in "civilised" conditions, I always
wear short wallaby boots. Not because of the wallaby nor
the short boot but the soft, noiseless and and non-slipper-
ry souls.

Comfortable, sturdy shoes. I have a pair of matte black Docker  lace-ups that work quite well for me.

I don't skimp on shoes any more. Unfortunately, the most comfortable footwear I own are 6" boots from 5.11 Tactical. Can't wear those to a wedding.

I used to wear semi casual loafers, with good soles. Except for the hippie wedding I photographed back in the mid seventies, barefooted....(on the beach)

Why so serious?

What's funny is that I've never heard of wallaby boots.  I just looked them up, those look comfortable!

Very light, keeps feet cool, flexible, safer on wet surfaces,
make no noise… you won't regret considering those, Jason.

Honestly, what ever is comfortable and matches what I'm wearing that day.

Outdoor weddings: black, no logo that jumps sneakers
Indoor weddings: black dress shoes

I'm all about comfort these days.  Thick cushioned soles, and generally black or something that matches what I'm wearing.

I had to look up wallabee boots too - chukka boots! I didn't know those were back... Seemed like they always wanted to come untied since there are only a couple of eyelets on each side. But whatever is comfortable and looks appropriate for the occasion is what I've worn for events.
