Grip or no grip?

No grip, tried one, just didn't like the added bulk.

That's it, you get the vertical grip and added battery life.  No other benefits IMO.  I have one, and frankly don't use it that much any more.  I use to, but not any more.  Tired of the weight.

 I have one just like many of you don’t use so much these days. It’s great my battery lasts forever. But like many of you have stated, the bulk gets old.

Actually they me say I have one, and I used it when I first got it.  It is nice that you can move to vertical orientation quickly.  However with L bracket, it's much easier and lighter.  So I don't use my grip much more.

Last grip I had and used was called a winder. It would automatically wind the film to the next frame. I've not used or wanted a grip with digital.
