Just when you thought 100 frames per second was fast.  This Canadian company came up with the technology making 1.5 million frames per second possible.

It's hard to even imagine such speeds.

What? 1,5 million? Serious? What about 10 trillion frames per second?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

LMAO, I guess 1.5 million isn't nothing compared to 10 trillion!

Not exactly, not in the way we think of cameras. They're talking about streak cameras that record pulses in a laser.

The first video from 'Universe Explore' just started 3 months ago in a variety of languages, not sure who's doing the channel or where it comes from. The so called research article is from a so called university in Canada that seems to be a business (it has a CEO not a university president) and the article published in a journal from a supposed university in China also seems to be a business/corporation. Those seem like unreliable sources but the technology is similar to recording laser pulses in the second video.

In the second video about 4 min. in, one of the guys says something about it taking 8 hours to process, then later on he mentions that type of camera only detects the light. He said they 'comped in' the picture of the plastic bottle. I think it must be done in slo mo so it can be seen. This seems to be about scientific cameras that record light from lasers and doesn't seem to be the same way of recording photos/videos in frames per sec. that we would be using.
