Auto photographer career?

I'm still a long way from going pro, but I'm trying to focus on an area that I can get really good at.  I like cars and being around them.  Would you happen to know if there is much market for auto photographers?  Enough to make a career out of?

Many, many years ago, it was possible to specialise in both
a kind of images and or a given employer but the trade is
changing deeply and fast because the market, all markets,
a flooded.

Multidisciplinary high quality productions was chosen as my
way to do it but I don't know where the market will lead the
trade. Uncertain future.

Are you talking about the automotive side of things?

In the last years I got just a few jobs and that was because
of a certain approach in terms of composition.

The last one I posted here.

I would keep your options open, vs spending 5 years focused on one area and something happening.  Diversify so all your eggs aren't in the same basket.
