Are you matting all your photos?

When I print out my photos, I have always matted them before putting into a frame.  I'm feeling a little 'different' today.  Just a personal preference question, do you matte all your photos?  It does separate the photo and make pop.  If your photo has a different aspect ration from the frame, it helps with getting things set up nicely.

Actually just messing around today, I didn't matte and it looks good too.

Do you matte your photos?

IMHO, it makes no difference.  It's just preference.

Matting an image protects the image. If the print is against the glass, it's going to stick like glue at some point.

No.

Why so serious?

Yep, so true. It's important to have.

What Randy said.

I print and mat my own, all it takes is some hinging tape to keep a print in place as needed. Adorama has a good selection of colors/sizes.

For a different look you might try 'floating' frames; I think some have an outer frame of wood or metal but many are completely clear. Those should have a recessed area for the print so it's not going to press against the glass/acrylic in front.
