What to do when you are stuck at home

4 years 1 month ago #680231 by steveheap
Many of us are currently confined to home except for approved trips to the grocery store or to get some exercise. That can be a recipe for driving you crazy, but an alternative is to take the opportunity to go through your portfolio and properly keyword and describe your images for submission to online stock agencies.
Yes, the money they pay these days is not great, but they can make it up in volume. This virus is creating a need for many, many subjects that have never been covered before and so just creating new images at home can be very worthwhile. I have earned over $350 this month alone from coronavirus images being sold on the main agencies. So use the time productively and generate a bit of a side income.
I do maintain a blog talking about how I manage all my uploads and how to get started in stock photography if you want some tips. It is at BackyardSilver.com

Good luck and stay healthy!

I'm watching a few movies and lots of tutorial videos, mostly on PS/LR.....and a walk every day I can stand it.

Why so serious?

Doing things I like… until they get boring too.
Today, I even went though a whole big pile of
of laundry to iron… was almost going to add
"with a smile!"

Light is free… capturing it is not!

This one is exclusively for children during this coronavirus pandemic (Bonus points if you have a VR headset) - Google Augmented Reality for some animals. Open Google browser, not the app, and trype in your choice of animal with AR keyword attached. There are space related AR tools as well. Have fun and thank me later. Enjoy!

Read books, cleaned my gear, tried some water drop photography (didn't work out so well), took some portraits of my wife and kids.  Watched a ton of movies and cleaned the house almost daily.

Working from home, spending time with my son (9 months old) and animal crossing.
