Need help about getting out of studio rental space

3 years 4 months ago #703904 by Cliff
Earlier this year, I signed a 3 year lease to a commercial studio space to expand my photography business from my home studio.

Well, Covid sunk its teeth into things and I haven't been able to open doors as I would have prior.  I have been making my monthly payments, but want to figure out how I can back out of this without dealing with a law suit or potentially damaging my credit.

Any ideas?

Solutions may include finding sub renter or a new renter
all together.

But they would be in the same situation as myself.  Not many are taking on business right now.  Would be tough finding someone.

My own studio has changed it time allocation where people
photography and products have switched from to 65~35%
to 100% for products — not meaning at all that the income
has not been affected.

You're saying your studio is busier?

No, the work has shifted and the comparative income
is lower that last year.
