I don't normally watch Jared Polin, but I did watch this to the end.

I think the police, military, property guards and secret service need to be more educated about photo journalists, and have respect for them, but when things are going down like this I think it's quite hard to tell who is who. Maybe photo journalists need significantly different visible identification too. Orange hats and/or vests come to mind.

Thanks for the post.

G'day all

I have not watched the attached video - I have seen too much of it spread all over our TV news (yes even in Downunder-land we're overwhelmed with video showing this mayhem). The scenes I have witnessed recently are the sort of stuff seen usually in despot-run countries - not in what is touted as the world's leader of democracy

All we can hope for is that the U.S. has now reached the 'bottom of the barrel' and can start to rebuild as a cohesive nation over the next 10-20 years - with 'decent' leadership and plenty of nation-building programs rather than wealth-building for the rich & famous.

I just watched
and things are just nuts right now.  As I understand, FBI is warning of possible violent protests during next 10 days.  Time to go hide and lock the doors!

G'day all

Not just you being concerned .... the rest of the world is watching closely too

For those who are interested in reading one commentator's view on things ...
www.abc.net.au/news/2021-01-14/trump-imp...t-democracy/13057050

and the common thread I see over a variety of international media outlets is that America is now a broken society with little chance of recovery.
