What contant lights are you using or recommend for in studio work?  Needs to be portable and ideally rechargeable battery.

Please help

No reasonable cost LED will deliver enough power for studio work
unless you shoot videos — this was not specified.

Flashes can support your efforts for sure.

Yes, I'm shooting videos.  Which do you suggest?

Thank you

Sorry, Gammill, I am not the one with the knowledge and/or
the recommendations you're after… I only shoot stills.

I have 3 GVM light panels with 480 bi-color LEDs in each. I use them for product light box shooting or for my small studio video shoots. They work from 120 vac with their included power supply, but also will work with 2 (not 1) NP-F960/F970 batteries. You will get about 5 hours use from the battery pair at full bright. These lights are barely adequate for good video work. When doing Video in my studio I have one on each side at about 60 deg to the subject, and the third directly above the camera. With video you usually want to eliminate as many of the shadows as possible, so you need lights pointing from many directions to cancel out the shadows. I will likely be adding additional LED or fluorescent lighting before my next studio video shoot. I have not been happy at all with the results that I have been getting, but my customer has accepted them.

Markuspix on youtube has several videos relating to video lighting. Here is one of them where he demonstrates good lighting for video, but he has others. A search of his videos will provide more. In one of them he shows his underground studios in his basement, and uses horizontally placed fluorescents hanging from the ceiling and surrounding the subject in a U fashion.

This was a very refreshing watch but the question was about the
lighting equipment itself. The way to use it will be +/- the same.

Oh great, thank you.  I'm going to watch that video when I get to my computer.
