Storing a canvas print long term?

1 year 9 months ago #740057 by Silver Fox
Hey guys, I'm swamping out my prints in my home and need to store my old prints where they will be safe for another day.  How are you storing prints for long term?  Laying them down or on their side?  Wrapped or covered?

Many thanks!

I have mine standing upright in my ceiling storage space with old bed sheets folded over and around each.

We have a number of holiday prints that we pull down after the holidays.  We are storing same way, except using moving blankets between each with bungee cord wrapped around each.

We have just a few prints that we have kept and those are stored in burlap bags my wife made for these.  We have passed on some family portrait prints to relatives, and our neighbor took a landscape print off my hands last summer.

We have ours hanging in a drop down set shelves in our garage, and my husband has bubble wrap around them.

You going to hear an echo, as I'm doing the same.  Well kind of.  We built a rack that holds 5 prints, but it's full, and we need to either make more or figure out something.

You all are fancy compared to what we do with our seasonal or old prints!  Ours are stacked on the floor (standing up)  in a spare bedroom we have.

I really need to get more prints, all my prints are on my walls, nothing in storage.
