Wouldn't change how I download - once I insert a card, the last thing I want to do is touch it. If the camera had only built-in memory, I would hope it would be customizable.Roger Lang wrote: Imagine this: A camera with insanely quick built-in storage that can handle the most intense functions – like top-tier video, burst shots, the works. But here's the kicker – you've gotta use a cable, or maybe even a dock, to get your files out of there. Would you be down for that?

My feeling is the same for replaceable batteries. I had a negative thoughts on this when they stopped making cell phones with replaceable batteries. I have avoided buying several lights when the batteries in them are not connector replaceable.
It limits the life of the item to the memory card or the battery life, if you cannot replace it. I have a 23 year old digital camera that I still use occasionally (very occasionally), and I have purchased new batteries for it several times over those years. It has proven ideal for the need, so this camera still gets dusted off and used for this. My last 2 cell phones had batteries that were not replaceable, and both had to be replaced after less than a year of use because of battery problems. Several hundred dollars worth of valuable phones wasted each time because of short life nonreplaceable batteries.
