Would you opt for internal memory?

Imagine this: A camera with insanely quick built-in storage that can handle the most intense functions – like top-tier video, burst shots, the works. But here's the kicker – you've gotta use a cable, or maybe even a dock, to get your files out of there. Would you be down for that?

Wouldn't change how I download - once I insert a card, the last thing I want to do is touch it. If the camera had only built-in memory, I would hope it would be customizable.

It would have to be a crazy high amount of memory.  With the existing cards, I can keep adding more and more.  Plus if it had built in, it would have to be super fast as well.

No, that would be limiting.  And let's just image something huge happens in the SD memory card market next week, if you have some sort of internal memory camera, you tied to that till you upgrade. Which that upgrade might not be worth as much because you have older tech in it.

+1 I'd rather have the choice of what memory I had in the camera as well

+1 from me as well. I like the ability to choose the memory card that I use.

My feeling is the same for replaceable batteries. I had a negative thoughts on this when they stopped making cell phones with replaceable batteries. I have avoided buying several lights when the batteries in them are not connector replaceable.

It limits the life of the item to the memory card or the battery life, if you cannot replace it. I have a 23 year old digital camera that I still use occasionally (very occasionally), and I have purchased new batteries for it several times over those years. It has proven ideal for the need, so this camera still gets dusted off and used for this. My last 2 cell phones had batteries that were not replaceable, and both had to be replaced after less than a year of use because of battery problems. Several hundred dollars worth of valuable phones wasted each time because of short life nonreplaceable batteries.

Eh, if it has internal memory, that would be nice, but I would still want ability to plug something in of my choice.

I want to have control over memory so no internal memory for me.

:agree:    Plus look at new Apple laptops which you can only get at time of ordering.  It limits you.  I wouldn't want that in a camera.   Which is why IF it did have internal memory, it needs to have additional slot for adding your own card into it.

Nope the moment you have pre set internal memory, you have restrictions.
