Printing on canvas 3/4" vs 1.5" frame

1 month 3 weeks ago #762011 by Jackson Rieger
When it comes to prints, I'm guessing 3/4" canvas print frame is only good up to certain size right?  I have a client who to this point has ordered only 3/4" frames on all the canvas prints they had ordered.  But all these print sizes have been 24x18".  Now they want 20x48" in the 3/4" and they live on the water or near it rather.  I was telling them it might be a good idea to move to 1.5", but they are pushing back, wanting to keep things conformed.

Would you happen to know if I'm correct.  Will the 3/4" frame at larger sizes be prone to warping?

Moisture?  I wouldn't go much larger than 20x36 with the .75".  You're better off going with the 1.5" with some bracing.

Every print I have ever picked up was 1.5".  It's just more sturdy and looks better.  So there's my vote

1.5" is the way to go in my book.  Looks better and you don't have to worry about it warping as much as you do the .75" frame.
