Camera or lenses affected by high altitude?

I guess this is more of a lens pressure question.  Does a lens get affected at all by super high altitudes?

Lenses designed for very high altitude, like those carried to the Moon, orbit, etc. are vented to maintain equal pressure, or lack of, on both sides of each lens. They have small filters in these vents to prevent contamination from the atmosphere as they return to it, be it Earth or somewhere else.

Camera lenses are like little mountain goats, pretty rugged and adapted to various climates, including the thin air up high. While your batteries might throw a fit and your LCD might act a bit quirky due to the cold, your lens is chilling, metaphorically speaking. It’s mostly mechanical, you see, so it doesn’t fuss much about the air pressure or lack thereof. Got a weather-sealed lens? Even better! It’s like having an all-terrain vehicle for your photography adventures.

Yes, lenses can be affected by super high altitudes due to changes in air pressure and temperature, potentially causing slight expansion and impacting optical performance. However, modern lenses are designed to withstand such conditions, and the effects are usually minimal.

You mean to tell me that the lenses NASA sends up to the space station and into space are not off the shelf gear?  I mean I figured some might be different from a mountinging standpoint, but had no idea these were pressurized or set up in that regard differently.
