Possible to setup a digital camera like a film camera?

This is going to be a strange request, one that I searched on this site and didn't find an answer.  Is there camera profiles that allow us to use our digital cameras like older film cameras?  With the low dynamic range, and dumbing down the camera so it shoots like film?

Digital emulates film already.  I think there is some confusion in the question.

Pretty sure the Fujifilm X10 has a emulation setting built in it

OK, so don't mean to be a downer on the question: If you just spent big $$$ on mirrorless camera, why would you want to make it take photos like an older and way less cost film camera?  You can easily create these effects for free in post and have it look pretty good.  Either that or why not save $$ and just buy a film camera?

I was going to say something similar.  Get the effect in post.

I can't imagine why you would want to do that.

I went digital in 1998, and never looked back. A DSLR or Mirrorless digital camera can do everything that a 35 mm film camera using the same settings, but with far more features to let you take even better photos. You can get great shots, but there are always tiny things, like dust, shadows, etc. that you maybe want to eliminate or vary to produce the perfect shot, and you can now do this in the computer, where some tricky work was required to achieve the same in film days in the dark room. No more dealing with nasty chemicals either, plus the ability to look at each shot as it's taken, so you can repeat the shot if you don't like how it turned out.

Luminar and Photoshop both have filters that create a film look that actually look pretty good.
