Im ghetto when it comes to anything so I make my own. I actually know how to use a sewing machine so it makes it easier.

I love the efficient construction and build of the Gary fong lightsphere, and the amber dome it comes with is great for white balancing indoor lighting. It scatters the light 360 degrees so generally works best in very small rooms where the light bounces off all walls. The ultimate light box has more diffusion options with additional attachments. The lighting direction can be controlled more too. Better for large settings. I'm happy with both, but I use the light box a lot more.

lol I know what you mean. Before I got manufactured diffusers I used a jury rigged tupperware container as a diffuser for macro shots. Other than slightly off-white balance, it worked great.

Now are these flash specific, meaning if you have one for a SB600, will it also work for SB800?


They have different mounts
