How many of you shoot with 2 camera bodies?

I've been putting in some thought about upgrading both my camera bodies and getting a little more serious about photography. Currently I have a D90 and D200. Really the D200 is the one I really would like to upgrade. I have been thinking about getting either a D300 or jumping up to a D700. The D700 would be a huge performance gain, not to mention full frame, which means I would have to pick up new lenses.

Those with 2 camera bodies what do you have? Did you go with 2 full frame camera's or did you keep at least one crop sensor camera? Or do you have 2 small sensor cameras?

Not I, I'm still learning to shoot with one.

Well my two camera bodies are only because I recently bought the Nikon D7000. The other camera is a D80.
For me personally, unless I feel the need to go full frame, I will never go full frame. And that need would be like if I become a pro....aka being paid. more then 50% of my income.

The d700 is a good camera.
Remember, you can become more serious about photography without the need to buy a full frame.

I shoot with two D90 bodies, prefer the same bodies as it is easier to switch between two of the same than two different bodies. that way my 300mm is on one and my 80-200mm is on the other. If I ever upgrade to a pair of full frame bodies I would have the same model for the same reason

Same reason as Rob.
I originally bought a Canon XT and later got an XSi. I keep a wide zoom on the XT and a 70-300 on the XSi. Depending on what I am shooting, I occasionally switch them or go to my prime 50. Unless I get rich or into huge landscapes, I will stay with my crops. I would rather get another lens (either a faster tele-zoom or a macro) right now.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I have my hand up.....I use a D700, and D300, and some decent glass for both. Actually was going to sell D300 when I went full frame, however I couldn't do it. I am glad now, the 300 is a great camera. I also have a d70s IR converted.......B)

Why so serious?

I pretty much always shoot with two camera bodies. It gives me the ability to use two different lens sizes without needing to change out the lenses on one body.

I have two Canon 1D Mark III's and a Canon 7D body. See my avatar photo for an example of me using two cameras.

I shoot with a D700 and D90, although I want to pick up a D3s and convert my D90 to infrared. :beerbang:
