taking pics in a gym.

I've been asked by the company I work for to take some promotional shots for an the company's brochure. Most of the pictures will be of meetings, people at desks etc. One of them will be an employee using a rowing machine at a local gym.

Can anyone advise if I need to get permission to take pictures in a place like this? Who do I ask, the Gym owner?

What would you charge per picture? They are looking for four images for the brochure and then a portrait shot of each director?

Shooting portraits of company executives? Think of it as a good way to earn some extra cash if you do a good job. Also think of it as a way to lose a good job if you don't.

Yes, I know. Which is why I want to do it, so I can keep my job.

Get a hold of the gym owner and ask. Have a property release form for the owner to sign.

What if I can't get a hold of the gym owner?

Ask the manager. I am sure the manager knows how to get in contact with the owner. If they don't, they ask the manager to sign the permission form.

What kind of brochure is it? Is it an internal one, just something being passed around. Or a brochure that will be out in the public?

If it's internal, I think you could just take the picture and not worry about getting permission. The brochure, isn't going far. The design, the printing, into someone's hands and eventually into the garbage. lol
