Does anyone know anything about fineartamerica.com? Whatever you know spill it. lol pros/cons? Any luck selling on it? It's one of the sites I'm looking into to display my work, so I'm looking for reviews.
Thanks.

I have a site there but have not yet loaded data. A friend has had some success selling paintings and prints. I will be giving it a try based on her results.
Remember, it is not primarily geared toward photographs.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

As of right now - 44,105 artists - on the same site competing for the buyer's $$$!!!

It's the same or worse on etsy.com, redbubble.com, smugmug.com, zenfolio, com - you get my drift. I haven't heard of anyone doing well with these type of hosting services except for the hosting services...
That said, I have recently started a zenfolio account myself.. not sold anything and am not even optimistic about selling anything. I opened it mainly for promoting myself and as a means for an online portfolio.
If you have a high-quality unique product, market yourself well, promote yourself and your work heavily, and use multiple online tools (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Digg, and so on) you can probably do fairly well... if you just throw a bunch of images online and sit back waiting for the orders to come in, it's likely going to be very disappointing.
