How to photograph highly reflective sphere?

There are 5 spheres ranging from 1' in diameter all the way to about 3' arranged in front of a building. Surface is like a mirror, chrome plated.

I really want to do a fashion shoot where the model sits on one of them. Kind of leaning towards doing it in the evening so I can have slower shutter, get some light streaks going around her from cars driving by and use second curtain on the flash so she's in focus even on longer exposure.

Now the problem I see is the reflection of myself taking the picture and I can probably try to position her body so the legs cover up reflection of the flash. Probably will have flash set up 45 degrees to her. So what would you guys do to minimize my own reflection in the sphere?

I would think your reflection would be minimal if you were far enough away. A quick clone would obliterate you from the surface if needed. Other than the placement strategy you mentioned - Ghille suit or in this case urban Ghille suit?

I got it - reflective aluminum foil suit... Adjust your aperture accordingly.

What we really need is magic cloaks like in popular children's stories about wizards and such.

Yeh I was just saying "we" so you'd not feel so bad.

Santa doesn't need a cloak either. He's so freakin' fast. Right?! ;) ;)

Zoom zoom zoom...

On second thought the cloak idea sounds pretty cool or maybe just a cape in summer. Well maybe a cape AND some tights...
