Drive by shootings

Now, that i have your attention. Do you ever,( as a passenger), do abstracts by moving your camera up and down at a slow shutter speed of trees or cars etc?

I haven't, but, if I ever get the chance, I'm sure I will now. My big thing is to suddenly hit the brakes and pull over when I see something of interest, totally disregarding the horn honking that tends to follow. Bad habit, I know.

Sure, practice makes perfect but, unless you learn from your mistakes, you are only perfecting your ability to fail.

I do!!! Frequently during the summer months my dad takes me on his H-D, I have gotten some good shots from the back of it. I imagine we make an odd site going down the road, me with my camera and his little dog in her seat on the back of the bike.

Looks like this thread started over - I posted in the other one, then realized maybe you meant, while the car is moving... that I haven't tried!

Cool shot ... reminds me of some of my Christmas light captures. Great colour contrast!

I like this shot. Wish more was showing, but it looks like a old school movie threater

I did a very short trip to New Mexico and wanted to see as much as possible. I cleaned the rental car windows and used my Pentax ME Super with a 28mm lens set at infinity and AP. I drove and shot, drove and shot, stopping every so often for a "special" scene. The good thing is that there were no other cars on the road and nothing to hit if you missed the road  . The only close call was a tumbleweed that "ran" across the road in front of me.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Sorry about the two threads, I didn't think it posted the first one. Lately when I hit submit it is taking forever for it to submit so I close out and try again. Thanks for posting everyone.
