I got my extension tubes in the mail but, because of lack of sleep, I don't have the energy to go out and use them yet.

Which ones did you get?

Just a cheap set from eBay ... not even a name on them. The box doesn't help me either, as it's mostly in Chinese. The only English is "Extension Tube Macro Ring," "For Canon," and "Made in China."

I test-fitted them. The attach and detach easily on both the camera and lens so that's all I'm worried about.

Here's the listing:

No kidding, interested to see how those work for you. Any idea how many mm thick those are? Kenko's are what 12, 26, and 30?

They're labelled as "1,2, and 3." LOL!

I measured them as:

1- 8mm
2- 14mm
3- 28mm

Total (with adapter rings): 70mm

Pretty good price for those, any issues or would you recommend?

The description from eBay states "This extension tube includes 3 rings (9mm,16mm and 30mm) and male & female adapter". I bought one of these sets too.

I then went ahead and got the Kenco set because they have the electronic connection needed for aperture control and some auto focus. I'm thinking smaller aperture means more DOF. IMHO it is worth the extravagance to have that ability.

I'm procrastinating on using them too...

I've been so busy trying to catch up on the 100 or so other projects that have been lagging, as well as suffering from bad health the last few days, I haven't had the chance to try them out yet. As long as it's not raining, I will make sure I set this as a priority for tomorrow (Monday).

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. My excuse is just pure lazy. Today I actually got up and plugged my screw gun into the charger. It should be ready for me to use in the morning. :woohoo:
