I'm considering a hard shell camera case but was wondering which of these has the most flexibility with inside setup configurations?

Personally I like the Case Cruzer, it seems better priced. But then the Pelican brand has been around longer.

Canon 5D Mark II | Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM | Canon 35L | Sigma 85 1.4 | Helios 44M-6 58mm(M42) | Zeiss 50mm 1.4 (C/Y) | Canon 135L | (2) 430EX II

I have several pelican cases and I could tell you some stories. I also have a few "other brand cases" that seam to do just fine, but my pelicans have lived through heck and always protected my gear. I have taken my cases on boats, in wild caves, and to photograph from out of a kayak. ( My fun time) Mostly, I use them for large studio set ups where they hold studio heads, cameras, and laptops. (My Career) Absolutely love my pelicans. I dropped a camera in a cave once that bounced several times off rock on its way down. The case is scared, but still usable and the contents were fine.

In life there have always been those who make fire; but most just sit around the fire and enjoy the warmth. A great mind absent of action is waste.

They seem to offer very similar options to me: customizable foam or padded inserts. My Pelican case has a thing with assorted pouches that attaches to the inside of the lid, and I don't see anything like that at the Case Cruzer site (I didn't look long). Then again if you get the same size case I'm sure it would fit in the Case Cruzer case too.

I bet that was a scare watching the case go tumbling down! Talk about a commercial of faith!

Im in the Air Force and all of our special tools come in Pelican cases. I can tell you that these things are tuff. They get thrown, stepped on, dropped. All this abuse and I have not even seem a broken hinge or latch.
