Cleaning salt water from tripod

I had my tripod in salt water today.  Other than hosing off my tripod, anything else need to be done to insure this is completely clean?

Hosing it won't be enough, Amigo, as it will rinse the outside
but not the inside where salt has its most pernicious effects
because ignored.

Either you immerse in soft water and let it empty repetitively
or — it's my way — dismantle the whole thing to be cleaned,
rinse, lubricate, and build back up again. Have a good time!

There's a photographer on YouTube named Nick Page that shows how to take a tripod apart and clean it. I haven't had my tripod out a lot to need cleaning but I watched it anyway and it was pretty informative.

Yeah, but most people have no right opening up a tripod and will likely not be able to put it back together, which will lead to them making post about who can fix their tripods or put them back together again.
