Does the memory card influence your camera buy?

Absolutely not. I have one of each. The CF seems to move ahead with larger cards first but I don't use huge ones anyway.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Not with still cameras.

With video cameras maybe, some video camera media is REALLy expensive.

No, I buy camera for what it does. Considering how inexpensive memory cards are, these are the least of my concerns at purchase.

Only if I am buying two of the same bodies then my primary and back up have the same memory cards thus are interchangable , this is only one of the factors in selecting a back-up body

I myself have never had a problem with CF media and have with the others, fortunately I use CF allot!

Not a problem here .... My Canon 1D's have one of each (CF and SD) LOL B)

Although I will say that I use the CF card as the primary card.
