I'm sorry...camera. I didn't release one could use a remote on a flash. I just receive a nikon d700, still learning the ropes of the new camera.

I've been sold several wireless units. Simple to use and unlimited (100 meters) range... what's not to love. My latest uses AA batteries which is much better than the old one I had which needed a special battery.

I use a Zap-Shot on my Canon and could not be happier. Radio remotes seem to be a bit harder to find for Nikons but they are the way to go.

I do a lot of long exposure and bracket shooting, with a wireless I'm not tied to the camera so I can watch the surroundings for stray people or something else that may get in the way. With long exposures it's another way to reduce camera jiggle.

My latest uses AA batteries which is much better than the old one I had which needed a special battery.

Please share the name. I hate having to carry spare "special" batteries.

No matter how fast I go, there's always someone slower in front of me.
