Need something that will fit in back pack and once put together will span 9-12' securely.  Ideally something made from carbon fiber.  I'll be hiking with this so don't want to break my back carry this gear.

Thanks

+1 on the estimate.  More like a typical range.  I never lock myself down to any number.  You just never know.

Not much you are going to be able to do there.  Have you tried anchoring the legs in deeper into the sinking sand to buy some time?

Anyone attend one of their seminars?  1- 10 experience... how would you rate it compared to other seminars you had been too?

I'm with Finn on this one.

Sarah Ramirez replied to the topic 'Would you use a non DSLR for your primary camera on professional gigs?' in the forum. 3 hours 11 minutes ago

Like others have said, it depends on the purpose. It also depends on the camera we're talking about. I've used my iphone to take real estate photos that I knew were only for the web and they turned out just fine. I wouldn't use my phone for a wedding gig though! I'd use a mirrorless system, however.

I give clients an estimated number of images, but it's based on the package the client chooses, not necessarily on the hour. There's just too much that can go wrong in my life for me to guarantee a certain number of photos in 60 minutes. The client might be late, I might have a problem with a camera, lens, computer, light, etc. It's okay to give a range, just make it wide enough to cover yourself in case time gets away from you.

Camera left behind and memory card left behind are completely two different animals.  Memory card could very well gotten sucked up by vacuum.  Those maids are cleaning those rooms fast and very well might have not noticed the small plastic thing the vacuum sucked up.
