The price of the Hoya NXT Polarizer makes it easy for even hobbyists to reduce glare and haze while enhancing color and contrast. The Hoya NXT offers a thin design that helps prevent vignetting at wider angles. Compared to other filters at this price point, the Hoya NXT offers a much better image.
While the Hoya NXT offers good image quality for the price, the filter does cut out more light than filters from Singh-Ray and B+W, which limits the use of the filter in more limited lighting. To keep the price low, Hoya also skipped out on the multi-coatings. While there are a few sacrifices, the Hoya NXT is a good polarizer for hobbyists and photographers on a budget.
