Dori - Did you send this one north?

Early afternoon, I looked out the dining room window and the sun was lighting up a large web. I grabbed the extension tubes and the 50mm and got some shots. The wind was strong, so focusing was rough, especially standing on the railing and reaching around the post to shoot with one hand.

Used flash and really lite this shot up.

Either that is one incredibly large spider or you got really close. Nice shot in either case. Just in time for Halloween.

An old adage tells us that walking into a spider web instantly trains you to be a karate master! :woohoo:

Oh, Charles... did you know that the "Most Interesting Man in the World" has never walked into a spider web... Just sayin....

Thanks. I got close. I was experimenting with several tubes. I think this was a 21 or 31. It was about an inch or so (maybe up to 1.5 inch) in length.
Now I need to try to find out what kind it was.

Sorry to hear of your recent loss :( Couldn't leave him hanging there for Trick-or-Treaters to walk into.

Thanks, Shanna. I'm not fond of them myself but those extension tubes are making me do crazy things. :toocrazy:
