Nice Pics, would of been nice if the Osprey and fish were a bit crisper, but you were lucky to get the shot. :judge: :welcomeclan :welcomeclan

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Thanks, I spotted it in a dead tree from the highway. Parked and walked back to where I thought I could get some shots; I was about 100 yards away when it started to take off and I just started shooting.

Nice work!

On #1, not sure since I don't shoot birds much, but maybe if it was possible to use a faster shutter it would be crisper? Not really anything to complain about though, just getting that shot at all is great.

If I had to find an issue with any it would be #2. The bit of reflection at the bottom makes me wish the picture was framed to show the entire reflection instead of just part. This is one type of wildlife shot that can benefit from a slightly higher POV in order to get the reflections in the shot.

Don't get me wrong, it's still awesome...just a personal preference. :)

Thanks. thouoght about that during cropping. I also have another picture of two skimmers, one coming in to land and a sea gull where I liked the reflections and kept them. I'll post.

Adding two additional pics- one of osprey taken within seconds of previous post and another of the black skimmers.

You've done well. Even though the 1st one could be sharper, It might benefit forma bit more contrast.
 Getting in-flight birds is a challenge.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Had a few minutes and took your advice on the first pic. Added contrast and brightness - made a definite improvement. Thanks.

I will just tell you to watch this video
1st then ask questions.

I cannot tell you how many times this short video has helped
out folks capturing birds in flight.
