Ken Rockwell?

Once you have a foundation, it's much easier to filter out the crap though. AND is why it is more important now than it used to be. Not everyone got their photo book published years ago. And yet everyone who's owned a camera for a month has a blog.

When your new, someone mentions HDR, and off you go....

... bye, bye. We'll see you in a few years. You skipped a few steps.

Like why you DON'T need HDR!

At least, not until you've learned some other things first. For example, controlling tones with fill light. Or how to process a RAW file. Or what's an f/stop!

Step by step is the best. Then go off on your own, with a solid foundation beneath you. Else you'll spend decades learning what takes only a few months of structured teaching.

:agree: IF the lessons you learn are accurate. There are many books and many teachers out there, some of which may mislead you. Remember that people learn differently and that all teachers are not created equal. Remember high school? or college? Some good teachers and some awful. You must make the decision.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I don't pay much attention to Ken's write ups, there is just something about him that rubs me the wrong way. I have a friend who find's his opinion amazing and swears by his reviews. Everyone has a opinion.

Just got your email and asked her to re-send it. May have gone to one of your other email addresses, or possibly a spam filter?

Let me know if you didn't get it. It has the link you need that seeds all the data bases.

I think this needs HDR.

Scotty, you've turned into another SN!

Or maybe you were the same person to begin with... like Jekyl and Hyde?

Often to spell out the obvious is to call it in question.
