Second guessing yourself

12 years 2 weeks ago #219333 by butterflygirl921
Im having my first paying photo shoot tomorrow with my new camera and im so nervous this is my first paying job ever. I am starting to freak out and second guessing myself like what if i screw it up or they dont like the photos. I feel like im gonna rock this photo shoot i have done so many non paying photo shoots but if i messed up at least i could re do them.

So i guess my question is is this normal to feel like this? am i just freaking out for no reason? any suggestions could help

Of course it's normal to feel nervous. Just take a deep breath and remember you are good.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

You have experience with photo shoots so you will do fine. Just relax and have doing what you enjoy... And yes it is completely normal...

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

At least you have the benefit of a digital camera, with a LCD for immediate review of the results. Those of us who started out with film had to cross our fingers for a day or two while waiting for it to be processed.

You will be fine... remember to remove the lens cap so you will look professional. :woohoo: Better yet set low expectations by starting to shoot with the lens cap on...

Tell us how your debut went. :watching:

nerves are normal but cancellations are aggravating. You will do fine if they ever actually go through with the shoot.

Yeah no kidding.
But yes when doing something for pay or having a new experience with what you have done will give you butterflies. The thing is I learned once you get going the flow will come and all will be fine.

Remember: they know what they hired and are comfortable with it. That means if you just 'do what you do' you'll be perfectly fine.

Make the best of it -- blow their mind!
