Photographers who wear glasses?

I just had an eye exam today and I'm going to have to get a prescription for glasses. I've been having head aches lately and to find out my eyes are struggling and I need glasses now. :(

For photographers was this ever a concern with wearing glasses and looking through your view finder on camera?

It's not a problem. Most (I think) cameras have a diopter adjustment at the eyepiece so you can adjust for your shooting eye, either with or without glasses. Me, I've adjusted it for glasses on since they're bi-focals and I wear them all the time.

Depends to a degree on whether you are near sighted or far. If far sighted, then glasses should be needed only for liveview LCD operation. I'm near sighted. So I use my glasses only for the viewfinder, take them off for liveview. When I am using more than one camera, one without viewfinder, this can be a nuisance. Should be easy to find a little neck cord or strap in stores for letting eyeglasses hang on your chest while viewing without them. Dumb little thing, but very, very handy if you need to put glasses on and take them off a lot.

Loool. That would kind of suck if cameras were discriminating agains people who wear glasses, being someone who's depended on them for 15 years

My father wears glasses while he photographs all the time. He just wears them while he is framing up his photos.
