Morning fog mist harmful to a camera?

I've been working on some long exposure morning shots and noticed my camera gets a fine coating of mist on it.  Realistically will I need to worry about this harming my camera or lens?

You won't harm that D300, and most likely not the lens either. Just surface moisture is pretty safe...;)

Why so serious?

My D800 top lcd panel just cracked after using it in an icy mist morning. Nikon's refusing to repair even though no impact or damage ever happened to my screen.

They are refusing to repair, or refusing to repair at no charge to you?

Refusing to repair under warranty. The body is under 2 years old, which is what the warranty covers. Nikon claims that it is not a manufacturers flaw, so then not their problem to fix it. I've given them hell about that so far. I'll be carrying on as well. Reason being is the camera has never been knocked or subject to anything that would cause damage. The crack also formed while the camera was in my lap in my camera bag.

How do you guys change lenses in heavy fog like the OP explained?  I have been in situations like this where my car isn't close by and I need to change lens.  I don't as I don't want to risk it.

There are 1000 uses for a 33 gallon trash bag, and this is one of them.....;)

I would threaten legal action. Check out this site if you haven't already.....

I think it's not a manufacturing flaw. How much do they want to repair it? Sound's like an act of God to me!

I ended up getting a bit stern with Nikon and after various conversations, and a phone call Nikon began backpedaling. Sending it to them shortly and they should be repairing it under warranty
