Financial question for photographers who run a business

8 years 3 months ago #470305 by MYoung
I've been using my debit card from my bank for my business (it's a business checking account).  I want to sign up for a credit card for my business and was looking to find out which credit card offers the most perks for business owners?

If you can suggest which to stay away, that would be helpful too.  Thank you.

B&A or what ever bank you are with already.  Chances are they have commercial products and might give you better card

I was looking at the American express platinum and they want to charge a fee of $450 per year?!  What's so special about the card?

I have a Chase Ink Business Plus card for my biz, it's a good card and the perks with Chase are worth looking at.

FYI to anyone considering the Capital One Spark card, this one reports on your personal credit too.  So that utilization will reflect on personal.  Which might have a negative impact if too high.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 17-40mmL, 24-105mmL, 100-400mmL, 300mm f/4L IS, Sigma 12-24mm, 430EX, Extension tubes

In order to apply for a business card, what sort of company structure do you need to have?

I love the Southwest Business credit card, lower annual fee and we use lots of airline miles with two kids in college out of state. Plus if you travel out of the country, they do not charge you currency conversion fees.

I found a great analysis done by Bankrate ,  http://www.bankrate.com/credit-cards/business-cards.aspx

Some you can be a sole proprietor and others require that you are a S Corp/C Corp.

:agree:

AMEX in my opinion is the best company to work with.  Customer service is awesome.  They have a number of cards for businesses.
