Oh, I am a solo-type. I thought I could learn more if I am in a group.You'll get a lot of opinions on this one. If you like tours in general, yes go for it. If you are more of a solo photographer, this might not be a lot of fun for you.
This is a good point as well. Noted man!I have not done a photography tour, but I've done group shoots. While I realize the two are different, the one thing that I imagine will be at least similar is the fact that you will probably be trying to shoot with a large number of other people around. That was the one thing that killed group shooting for me.....waiting for others to move out of the way and having to deal with someone else's schedule.
I can have a much more enjoyable time, go whenever and wherever I want and stay as long as I want if I go alone.
But, that's just me.

I appreciate this idea man! Thanks for this.The one thing you might get from a tour is finding places and subjects to re-visit that you might not discover on your own. Then you can go back and take time to shoot.
Have done this on regular city tours and it works.
